The tumult and the shouting dies,

The Captains and the Kings depart,

Still stands thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.
Rudyard Kipling ( 1865-1936)

I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him, creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel.
Peace, peace, to those far and near, “says the Lord.
“And I will heal them.”

But the wicked are like the
tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up
mire and mud.“There is no peace, ” says my God,
“for the wicked.”
Isaiah 57:18-21

“Submit to God and be at peace with him; in
this way prosperity will come to you. Accept
instruction from his mouth and lay up his words
in your heart. If you return to the Almighty,
you will be restored:

If you remove wickedness
far from your tent and assign your nuggets to
the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in
the ravines, then the Almighty will be your
gold, the choicest silver for you. Surely then
you will find delight in the Almighty and will
lift up your face to God.”
Job 22 :21-26
